The little engine that hopes it can. It remains to be seen if the Metromover will prove to be, at least the first link in a more effective chain of public transport for the new residences in downtown. The glacial pace of transit progress for Miami seems impossible to influence. But at least we have the little blue train.

I love the metro-mover, it’s a great way to see downtown Miami, and to get from place to place within the Downtown/Brickell area. I especially like going through buildings.

The Metromover has gained a lot of popularity, especially after it became free. During peak hours you are crammed in there like sardines. And when sweaty construction workers and urine-soaked homeless people make the train smell like a lockerroom, it’s best to avoid it. Other than that I love the mover, even when it gets stuck for 20 minutes :)
