I heart bungalows. One of the best building types, and an endangered species throughout Miami, where it was once widespread. This is exactly the type of housing the City of Miami should be restoring - not tearing down (as they recently voted to allow with a zoning change along 12th avenue – a bastion of bungalow frontage). Bungalows and little houses on compact lots are the staple in many older historic neighborhoods and are great for starter housing, singles, and just about anyone that is satisfied by the “small is beautiful” ethos. Why tear them down?
i live in this area in a tall condo building and gaze with longing at these houses as i ride my bike past, i would love to take on a restoration project on one of these bad boys.

If you notice a lot of them have second floors or venting to allow the warm air to flow up and out.
Is a map available with the streets and avenues notated. Also, is there a similar map which includes the Allapattah neighborhood where a large number of bungalows remain intact.
