The Transit Development Plan represents a 10-year strategic vision for Miami-Dade Transit to promote the operation of an efficient, responsive and financially sustainable transit system. Major components of the Transit Development Plan include:

Transit Development Plan Facts at a Glance

The Transit Development Plan process provides an opportunity for Miami-Dade County citizens to identify mobility needs and transportation issues.  Your input is valuable and needed to facilitate public concensus and provide direction for the development of the Transit Development Plan.

You can participate by attending one of the many outreach forums throughout the community. Ideas, suggestions and comments related to the Transit Development Plan can also be submitted to Miami-Dade Transit at

    Rail expansion, rail expansion, rail expansion!

    Trolley/train network for Biscayne, through the Gables, From Palmetto station down to Dadeland South and rail service to FIU, so we can get to where we want to get to!
    Development push AROUND the old stations so that there is SOMETHING to go to.

    Agreed! Rail expansion is much-needed around here in Miami. Starting with Baylink rail to Miami Beach then West Corridor from MIA then North Corridor…

    The link on the flyer does not work and there is no mention of dates for the meetings. It looks like we are all going to have to email for more info.

    HOW IS THIS A TRANSIT PLAN? This is a great bus plan, but what about the rest of transit? Remember those other 2 MetroRail and MetroMover. Write your county commissioner and demand a FULL TRANSIT PLAN.
