Ms. Moore’s receipt of this award is awesome, and she deserves tons of individual praise, but the award is significant for multiple reasons:

    1) Her work would not have been successful if there had not been a want from the community to see more bicycle-related improvements and activities throughout the Miami area.

    2) Her winning of the award should be an inspiration to the rest of Miami’s young activist community that our work can and will get recognized, and that we should push on at all costs.

    3) There is hope for Miami! We are lucky in that we are still a work in progress, and thus, for the most part, we can only go up from here. Awards like Kathryn’s are symbolic of this going-upness!

Congrats Kathryn, congrats Miami’s bike community, congrats to Miami!
