SeeClickFix

We’re proud to introduce a new feature of Transit Miami called  ‘SeeClickFix‘.

SeeClickFix encourages residents to become citizens by participating in taking care of and improving their neighborhoods. We allow anyone to:

  • See – see a non-emergency issue in your neighborhood
  • Click – open a ticket describing the issue and what can be done to resolve it
  • Fix – publicly report the issue to everyone for resolution

We’re working on more features for the future. If you have ideas for how we can improve the website, please contact us.

Kudos to Urban City Architecture for being the first to locally provide this service. Hopefully with enough content our elected officials will have a better idea of how they can serve the public. If you have a suggestion or problem please use this important tool.

Gotta say the map app is a little clunky, you can’t double click to zoom in an area ?????
Good concept I hope they can work that out, after all it is powered by google who allows the double click function.

Yeah, I had some trouble with it too. I figure with some time they will fix the problems in the software, or we can find something new. Think of this as a test….

Hi, at SeeClickFix we would love to hear feedback on how to make things work better for you. Yes, the interface is on Google maps and you can use the zoom bar on the left to move in and out. Is that what you’re looking to do?

Please give us any and all feedback http://www.seeclickfix.com/contact_us.

Generally we have heard positive comments on the UI. We want to jump on and resolve any issues that we can.

Thanks Miles. I think the comment was about double clicking to view an area, rather than using the zoom bar. Not a huge deal, but a matter of convenience. We think that the software has great potential and hope that we can build support for its use.

We use single click to report an issue. Do you guys think double click would cause confusion?

It might make sense to be able to toggle between clicking for zoom and clicking to report a problem. With a map at this scale everyone’s first step is to zoom into the area that is relevant to them. It is easier to navigate by selecting an area to zoom to and clicking on it rather than using the side bar.
You should also have a ‘right-click’ option to remove an item that you made (in case of mistakes).
