Transitography 30

Financing has been secured to construct a Maglev train linking Munich with its’ airport, however the $2.6 Billion project is still facing a great deal of criticism. The proposed train would cut the trek to and from the city and airport down to 10 minutes from the current 40.

You left out the reason for the criticism.

    The cost…Why else?

lol. Criticized on the cost? We’re spending $1.2 billion on I-595 improvements. (Not even new construction, so no new right-of-way purchase.) Maglev has way more capacity than I-595 will have. And I-595 elevated lanes are only going to shave a few minutes off the rush hour commute, not consistently improve the travel time. So I’d say it sounds like a good investment.
