Re-reading yesterdays articles on the blog and in the herald, it really infuriates me that the focus can be so off. This could be such an amazing place, but Miami chooses the status quo instead of looking toward the future. It makes me wish we had progressive leaders that want to bring about a new society here in south Florida. I guess it’s left up to the grass roots, and we have to fight through the nimbys that don’t want transit. That is where a strong leader is so helpful. Are there any strong leaders that the grassroots pro-transit folk can get behind? Are there any candidates for elective office that we can press on transit issues? Are any candidates speaking on behalf of transit?
