Simply to be very clear… As much as I am pro development, for all it brings to the Miami of the 21st century, I hope that we continue to treasure the rich, diverse and unique architectural heritage of Miami, and Florida as a whole. Great post! I’m also pro development but I don’t want the development to destroy any of our historical architecture.

Right now we are in grave danger of losing the Famous Hialeah Park. The owner of the park wants to build condos on the land. And it Recently made the National Trust 2007 11 Most Endangered list!

A lot of development in Miami has lacked creativity. I do believe that much of the future development will be more creative simply because of the LEED standards will impose greater thought placed in the planning. I think that a primary component in positive development includes energy and environmental efficiency. So I’m looking forward to see what comes with the new standards.
