I’m in town and I decided to take a trip downtown (as usual) using transit and my own two feet. Unlike our elected officials, I see the need to periodically take the trip around leisurely to experience things first hand and see where things are going wrong (or right.) Today’s trip was filled with urban issues, many random people, and an encounter with a US Marshall for photographing the Federal courthouse complex, so it should be a good read…I’ll be back soon with the story and pictures…

Driving downtown today it is so frustrating that cars park in the lanes, and don’t allow for people to pass. This would be ok if there was room, but it forces bottlenecks. You can see this on se/sw 1st St. se/sw 2nd st., Flagler. There need to be traffic cops out there making people move or towing. How can traffic be expected to flow if it bottlenecks. Sorry just angry at the lack of enforcement.

Man, there are some things you just don’t take pictures of: Sean Penn and the U.S. Courthouse. You should know better. I look forward to the pictorial.

I should Know better? Nope Sorry Vert, here I have to disagree. Standing on public property (MDC) I am within every right to photograph anything and anyone. It was quite apparent that our city severely lacks widespread tourism with the way things happened to me yesterday. Besides, If i can log onto google earth and obtain aerial photographs of the complex for free, what difference would some innocent pictures make? None…
