Looks like these two buildings might cover a decent footprint, not to mention a nice height too. A minor dislike I have of Miami’s office buildings is their toothpick-like skinniness.
My only concern is post hurricanes glass buildings in Brickell have a tendency to have wood covering windows for over a year. Let’s hope they are using hurricane proof windows, but that is highly unlikely.
I agree that the plywood covering the windows of Brickell buildings is a major eyesore. I am a resident of the Brickell area. The building I live in is behind the Espirito Santo building, so every time I look out my balcony I see the plywood, scaffolding, and repairmen hanging from the building. The repair work has been going on for well over a year now!?
I don’t understand how repairing that building has taken such a ridiculously long time. I can almost guarantee that I am not the only resident annoyed at having such an eysore outside their window.
