Beginning this Friday, Tri-Rail will now traverse Fort Lauderdale’s New River on a new train bridge. This is a big step within Tri-Rail’s expansion, allowing SFRTA to start running 40-50 trains per day by the end of this month. This means that within Tri-Rail’s new schedule, service will improve to much more manageable 20-30 minute headways. Hopefully more regional commuters will at least consider giving Florida’s only regional rail line a chance now that service is improved. Photo courtesy of Flickr account: Andrew M Butler
Yay! This is something I’ve been looking forward to.
Funny, though the Miami Herald has covered this grand opening several times (as has the Palm Beach Post), the Sun-Sentinel has not, and Tri-Rail’s website has yet to be updated. Somebody’s not on the ball.
None of the Gov sites are ever “on the ball”
LOL… They finally put something up.
